You Must Make Room for the New You

Today were going to talk about growth and change. Something that we all seek at some point in life.
Growth is necessary if we are going to accomplish goals and become the best version of ourselves.
That being said, You have to get rid of the old you. The old habits and thoughts that no longer fit
within the new you.

But too many times we try and fit the new us into the old us. And blend them
to make some 2.0 version of ourselves. But this simply doesn't work in the long term.
Temporarily yes, long term no.
So we have to be realistic about the process. Lets look at Matthew 9: 16-17. "No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse".
"Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved."
So we can see that you cannot take the new you and patch up the old you. you have to be fully
committed to being a new person. Not partially or half and half. If we can take hold and accept this truth we can grow and elevate.
